Last week, 5th graders finished their first Project Based Learning Science project over bridges. Learning about 8 different bridge types: suspension bridge, cable-stayed bridge, arch bridge, truss bridge, cantilever bridge, beam bridge, rigid frame bridge and moveable bridges.
In this PBL, the students had to work as a team to create a bridge that could hold weight and allow for a hot wheels car to drive over it. The strongest bridge held 400 small books.
