Ms. Cook’s Human Growth & Development classes helped 1st grade celebrate National Young Readers Week by reading and doing activities throughout the this entire week!
The KAYS Club's school service project raised $41.50 for the Book Bucks Store. Students were able to buy a guess for $0.50 to see how many pieces of candy were in “Mr. Wilson’s Aspirin” bottle. The winner was Ethan Creighton with a guess of 1,500 closest to the actual 1,457!
2nd and 3rd graders went to Fort Hays Historic Site to learn about the fort and soldiers who protected the Smoky Hill Trail. What an awesome piece of history! The museum admission is free, and transportation costs were covered by the Dane G Hansen Foundation.

FFA went to Wakeeny to compete in Food Science and Milk Q&P. For Food Science senior division placed 4th as a team. Clay Guttery was 9th and Aiden Conrad was 10th in individual. For Milk Q&P the senior division kids placed 7th, and the discovery division kids placed 4th.
FFA is going to Wakeeny today to judge food science and milk quality. Good luck!
