One week after the Osborne Bulldogs Varsity Scholars Bowl Team took 2nd place at Hill City the Junior Varsity Team followed up with a 3rd place finish at Tipton's Junior Varsity meet. Sophomore Katzel Carlin along with Freshman Clay Guttery, Kate Kendig, and Addison Poore took on eleven other teams in a round robin competition. Addison was not out for Scholars Bowl prior to this competition but was willing to go so that the team had four rather than just three competitors. The team won nine of their eleven rounds losing only to St. John's of Beloit and Rock Hills who took first and second place respectively. So congratulations to the Osborne Junior Varsity Scholars Bowl team. Well done! This is the last competition in Scholars Bowl for 2021. The next competition will be Monday, January 10, 2022 at Osborne. There are sixteen teams that accepted the invitation to this first Scholars Bowl for Osborne in the new year. This will be a varsity event and hopefully the team does well at their home meet. Go Dogs.
