Wow! For the first time in a number of years the OHS Varsity Scholars Bowl team brought home  hardware from the HIll City Varsity Scholars Bowl.  Hill City hosted their annual Varsity Scholars Bowl Monday, December 6.  Seniors Rylan Cline-Hackerott, and Helen Carlin, Junior Aydan Dill, and Freshman Kate Kendig and Clay Gluttery, took second place, silver, at this competition.  There were seven teams competing at this event, making it so each team had the opportunity to compete against all the other competitors in a round robin.  The Osborne team lost only one round which was to the home team Hill City.  Hill City took first place and Hoxie third.  The questions at this Scholars Bowl were quite challenging.  In one round only three questions were answered correctly by both teams in the room and in several other rounds only five questions of sixteen were answered.  Rylan Cline-Hackerott and Kate Kendig tied for high scorer, but everyone on the team was needed because no one team member got more than two questions right in a round.         Monday, December 13, Tipton will host their Freshman Sophomore Scholars Bowl meet so our underclassman will get the chance to compete against others in their classes.  We will see how they do.  Well done Bulldogs on your 2nd place finish team at Hill City.  Keep going Dogs!!
