Fifth graders at Osborne Elementary have been learning about one another during this first full week of school. Students participated in a "Me Museum"  where they  shared interesting personal information to  help build a positive classroom community.

Each student shared three items representing things about them and wrote detailed descriptions on note cards. Classmates could then move from desk-to-desk to read the descriptions.

"I learned things about my students that I never would have known,"  fifth grade teacher Hilary Mick shared.

Students were also enthusiastic about the project and shared that they learned surprising things they had in common with others. Lego building, hunting and fishing, and pets were just a few of the interests that allowed students to find common ground and build stronger relationships.
