OJH students held an election today for Mayor and Judge for AmeriTowne today during CCR. Candidates gave speeches to the student body then students went through the voting process using real ballot booths. Students also practiced vocabulary terms over the financial literacy curriculum which focuses on basic economics, banking, money management, government, communications, entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and employment.

AmeriTowne, sponsored by Nex-tech, located in the old Lenora high school, gives the opportunity for students-turned-citizens to fill real-world roles throughout the "town."
