Bulldogs Basketball Summer Shooting Challenge! Let it Fly Bulldogs! This is for the month of July.


Breakfast will be served free to all youth from 8:00-8:45am on July 8-12 & July 15-19 at the OES lunchroom. It will be a grab and go meal, however, students attending summer school may eat in the lunchroom.


The USD 392 July school board meeting scheduled for Monday, July 8th, has been moved to Tuesday, July 9th at 6pm.


July 3rd was the last day of Summer reading. Everyone had fun with the City and County Police as well as the City Fire Department!

July 2nd, summer reading program had the opportunity to meet with the Osborne Co. Highway Department and a Lineman from the City of Osborne. Students were able to learn the importance of Road Graders and Bucket Trucks in our community.











The last day for summer lunches in Alton will be tomorrow, Tuesday, July 2.
Summer lunches will continue to be served in Osborne until August 2.
No lunches will be served on July 4 & 5.


Reminder: this is the last week of summer reading and it will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday!


At Summer Reading on 6/26, kids learned about what it means to be Mayor & had a visit from Mayor Foglesong. 5 upcoming 5th graders ran to be the 1st Mayor of OES, & boy, were there some interesting campaigns. The votes were tallied & the winner of Mayor was Dixon Holloway.

Second week of field trips for Summer Reading!
- EMS Barn: observed items in the ambulance, learned about the air horn, lights, and sirens, and had their blood pressures taken
- OCMH: learned about Physical Therapy, Radiology, the ER department, & Surgical Suite.










June 19th was the start of Medical week for the "Hometown Heroes" Summer Reading Program. Our School Nurse, Susan Windle, explained basic first aid skills, & each student was provided with their own first aid kit as well as a kit to use to practice first aid with a friend.











On June 13th, summer reading took their Ag field trips. Kaser's Farms taught kids about machinery & planting crops as well as where they keep their livestock. Midway Coop taught kids how to test wheat & what happens after the grain comes to the elevator.










The "Hometown Heroes" Summer Reading Program started on June 12th. We read & discussed why Agriculture plays such a vital role in our community, made Community Lapbooks, & planted corn to take home. Students were also able to take advantage of PebbleGo, Keva Planks, and Legos.







Open Gym Volleyball for grades 6-8 is from 9:30-11:00am today in the new gym!
