Welcome to Osborne, Kansas

Being part of USD 392 means being part of a community that extends beyond the walls of our classrooms. We support over 350 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 12th and strive to maintain effective teacher to student ratios in each classroom setting.

Our mission as a school district is to provide students with the tools they need to reach high school graduation, and to thrive wherever life takes them. Those tools include the means, curriculum, time, and teachers who are competent and caring. We recognize that the path to graduation looks different for every student, and we commit to providing the appropriate levels of education for all learning styles and abilities. For us, our mission is achieved when each student is equipped to become successful, productive, and respected individuals who contribute positively to humanity.

Being a Bulldog means offering & pursuing learning opportunities across a variety of programs and passions.

In athletics, our Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs have made over 40 State appearances in the last 20 years. From our Little Dawg Football program through an athlete's Senior Night recognition, we offer athletic programs for all ages.

USD 392 also celebrates our extracurricular programs, which include organizations, such as FFA & KAYS; academic-based teams, like Math Relays and Scholar Bowl; fine arts activities, like concert band, choir, musical/drama productions, and pep band; as well as FCA, Robotics, STEM, and many more.

We support educators in their professional development, offering and facilitating training for teachers who are excited to bring their best to their classroom.

USD 392 invites parents, business men and women, and community partners, to share their academic journeys, individual expertise, and encouragement with students and staff members.

Located in the heart of North-Central Kansas, Osborne is nestled along the Solomon River and neighbors three beautiful lakes. It delivers beauty and serenity for those searching for a relaxed lifestyle and invites the nature enthusiasts and history buffs to get out and explore!

Our fertile agricultural valley dominates the landscape and small-town business owners line Main Street, catering to local needs. Hometown pride and ingenuity drives our community to make every day a great day to be an Osborne BULLDOG!

Our city's most historic feature is undoubtedly the county courthouse located in the center of our town, and although we value it's classic stature, we pride ourselves in keeping Osborne relevant, safe, and accessible to all. Osborne County Memorial Hospital & physical therapy center, built new in 2020, is located on the edge of town. The emergency medical service opened for the county EMS and the city and rural fire departments in 2018, and the public library, although older compared to the rest, still seems fresh and new even in its 30th year.
