This week is School Bus Safety Week, so we would like to salute our bus drivers who serve so graciously and work to make sure students arrive safely each day.

  • Beth Schultze, the USD 392 Transportation Director, has been serving us for a consistent 29 years! She buses the ECD kids and preschool kids in Osborne every morning, as well as driving her daily morning routes in the Portis area. Beth also drives students to many activities.

  • Rex Johnston is also a veteran driver. He has been taking the kids to activities for 23 years. During the 23 years, Rex has been a substitute driver and an activity driver.

  • Amanda Schultze has been driving the Alton and Osborne route every morning and evening for 13 years. She also is an activity driver.

  • Alan Burch has also put in the work during the mornings and afternoons driving the kids on his usual routes south of Osborne and in Osborne. He also buses the ECD kids and preschoolers from Portis. Alan has been on the transportation team for eight years.

  • Teddy Perkins is a substitute driver for OHS and has also dedicated eight years to this endeavor. He is a familiar face in the summer when he delivers meals.

  • Dale Goheen has been a loyal substitute driver and activity driver for seven years.

  • Beverly Boland joined the transportation team six years ago and has been serving us as an activity driver, bussing the ECD and Preschool kids from Alton, as well as bussing the Alton kids every day.

  • Lastly, our transportation team gained a member: Lindy Schultze! Lindy serves us every morning and evening by traveling a route south of Osborne out to the Covert area.

We are extremely fortunate to have a team so willing to take on a job that has many demanding qualities. Our bus drivers’ dedication and hard work is something we all appreciate and should not go unnoticed.
