Khalil Khan and the other attorneys at the Khan Law firm are proud to offer a generous $1,000.00 scholarship to a student of their choosing. To qualify for this scholarship:

  1. You must currently be enrolled in or have been accepted to (and planning to attend) a college or university in the United States.
  2. You must be able to provide an official school transcript or acceptance letter verifying your enrollment.
  3. You must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0.
  4. Write an essay explaining your plans for your education.

   WinField United is keeping the tradition of the Careers in Agriculture Scholarship Program, by announcing the kick-off for this year’s offering, today. Scholarships worth $1,000 will be awarded to 10 high school seniors and 10 college students in their first or second year who demonstrate scholastic achievement, leadership in agriculture and a perceived ability to contribute to agriculture in the future.  

                       The Careers in Agriculture Scholarship Program is available to high school graduating seniors and first or second year college students pursuing two- or four-year degrees                         in agronomy, crop production, or closely related fields. 

                       To qualify for the program, a student must: 

                            * Be a high school senior, graduating in spring of 2017; or

                            *Be a college freshman or sophomore;

                            *Demonstrate leadership abilities and academic performance;

                            *Complete an application including two reference letters and official transcript; and

                            *Write essays describing the importance of farmer cooperatives, and why he or she is interested in an agricultural career.

                    Since its formation 26 years ago, the Careers in Agriculture Scholarship Program have awarded more than $500,000 to young adults who share the same commitment to                           agronomy, excellence and the cooperative system.  

                  Applications are available on the internet at winfieldunitedag.com in the News section or attached in this email. All applications must be postmarked by Feb. 10th, 2017.                             Winners will be notified by mail in April 2017.

 

                                      The Greater Salina Community Foundation scholarships are now available online for your seniors to start applying.

              We are pleased to once again announce a scholarship opportunity for young men at your school who display motivation for personal success, an interest in studying the principles of leadership, and who plan to attend Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS. Acacia Fraternity is an organization founded on the pursuit of knowledge and leadership. In that spirit, Acacia is awarding one leadership scholarship in the amount of $1,000 and two in the amount of $500 to incoming male freshmen at Kansas State University. Scholarship winners will be selected on the basis of merit as displayed in the application process as well as an interview scheduled later in the spring, typically early February. Acacia encourages and assists young men in developing themselves as leaders on campus and instills lifelong values in young men during their college career. We would be most appreciative of your help in distributing this information to potential Kansas State University students. The application can be found and submitted online at www.kstateacacia.org We encourage the submission of an application even if you have not reached the final decision to attend Kansas State University. These scholarships are also not dependent on membership in the fraternity. The priority deadline for applications will be December, 18 th 2016 at 5:00pm. Applications will be accepted until January, 8 th 2017 at 5:00pm.
